Farmers here employ eco-friendly methods, ensuring the highest quality fruit while preserving the environment. This dedication not only supports local communities but also sustains the rich biodiversity of the region.

Thai durian farmers are increasingly adopting smart agriculture technologies to meet booming global demand, especially from China:

Digital Durian Initiative: Launched by Thailand’s Digital Economy Promotion Agency, this program helps farmers track crop data, monitor soil conditions, and manage irrigation and fertilization more efficiently.

Chinese Collaboration: Chinese agricultural experts and companies like Beyondsoft are working with Thai farmers to modernize orchards. Innovations include:

    • Soil sensors and real-time weather monitoring

    • Integrated water and fertilizer systems

    • AI-powered ripeness detection using near-infrared sensors. The new technology make farmers save money and water.
